We are looking for a
Software Architect
to join our team that develops and maintains RADEA (Real-time Data on Enterprise Assets), our cloud-based RFID data consolidation and reporting platform, used by hundreds of customers around the world. In this role, you will report directly to the CTO/Head of R&D.
Your responsibilities include:
- Taking the overall responsibility for the architecture, SW development, definition, and documentation work for our RADEA platform.
- Developing, optimising and documenting data models and related REST API views using the Django framework.
- Developing the current architecture and participating in improving and planning the full software stack for future requirements.
- Developing business-critical back-end data processing routines.
- Aiding in the development of RADEA’s web front-end and its data reporting components.
- Working closely with software development team and aiding with documentation our in-house client software developers and other integrators dependent on RADEA.
- Providing expert-level technical support as required by ongoing business cases.
- Participating in the continuous improvement of our dev-ops toolchain, quality assurance and software testing efforts.
As an ideal candidate you have:
- Previous experience from a similar role – or you may currently be an experienced SW Developer wanting to take the next step in your career.
- Proficiency in Python. Any other programming languages are considered a plus.
- Familiarity with Django and/or React or similar web framework.
- Ability to produce transparent documentation of newly developed software components, interfaces, and processes.
- Ability to benchmark and optimize program code and database queries with respect to given computational resources (CPU time, memory, storage, network bandwidth etc.).
- A structured approach to debugging complex systems you may be unfamiliar with.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Appreciated skills:
- Experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
- Experience in REST API development and testing.
- Familiarity with git collaboration workflow.
